Service description

Rateline Auto is a free car insurance guidance service.

Rateline Auto provides free, general car insurance guidance. We don't sell, quote, or bind insurance, and we don't refer you to insurance companies or agents. For decisions about your own policy, check with your insurer.

Information is general and is not legal or financial advice. A guidance request does not purchase or activate insurance coverage.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and reside in the United States to use this service. You must provide accurate information about yourself and a phone number and email address that you are authorized to use.

Acceptable use

Use our service only for lawful, personal use. Do not submit false or misleading information, impersonate another person, submit contact details without permission, interfere with website operation, or attempt unauthorized access. We may decline abusive or fraudulent requests.

SMS Messaging Program

Rateline Auto Alerts sends recurring automated marketing texts, including car insurance tips, coverage review reminders, and updates about our guidance services. Rateline Auto, operated by MetricLink Labs LLC, is the sole sender of messages under this program.

You opt in by checking the separate, optional SMS checkbox on the guidance form at https://ratelineauto.com/get-started and submitting your mobile number. The checkbox is unchecked by default and never required. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You can get guidance without agreeing to marketing texts.

Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. You will receive one final confirmation, and no further program messages unless you opt in again. Reply HELP or email contact@ratelineauto.com for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, MetricLink Labs LLC and Rateline Auto will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the website or service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits your rights under applicable consumer protection law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and will post the current version on this page with its last-updated date. Any material change to SMS consent will require a new opt-in where required by law.
